The NRC produces dry gas and condensate from the North Rankin and Perseus fields and delivers these hydrocarbons via two trunklines to the onshore Karratha Gas Plant for processing. The NRC consists of 29 production wells, installations (e.g. wellheads, production and pigging manifolds and flowlines), riser platforms and two gas trunklines. From 2017, it is proposed that the NRC will also extract gas and condensate from the Persephone (PSP) gas field, which is located approximately 6.9 km North East of NRC. Production from the PSP field will be via a two well subsea tieback into the NRC. The activities associated with drilling two wells, subsea installation and pre-commissioning activities of the Persephone tie-back to the NRC is provided for the Persephone Drilling and Subsea Installation Activities Environment Plan (SSPL & DC EP).The revision of the NRC EP addresses the activities associated with the start-up and operation of the Persephone field. As the implications of PSP on operation of the NRC facility are minimal, only minor edits have been made to the accepted NRC EP. Woodside intends to resubmit the NRC Operations EP for its 5 yearly review as scheduled in mid 2019.
