Activity Description |

Woodside is submitting a revision of the Operational Environment Plan for Goodwyn Alpha (GWA) in Commonwealth waters, in accordance with the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Environment) Regulations 2009 (Cth) (the regulations). The Environment Plan is being resubmitted to account for the integration of planned production from the Greater Western Flank Phase 3 into the GWA production. The Environment Plan will cover the existing GWA Field Production System, operated by Woodside on behalf of the North West Shelf (NWS) Project, as well as a number of exploration wells not linked to the production systems. The participants include Woodside Energy Ltd, BHP Petroleum (NWS) Pty Ltd, BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd, Chevron Australia Pty Ltd, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty Ltd and Shell Australia Pty Ltd. The GWA facility is located in Commonwealth waters on the NWS of WA within licence areas WA-1-L, WA-5-L, WA-6-L, WA-23-L, WA-24-L, WA-57-L, WA-2-PL, WA-9-PL, WA-13-PL, WA-24-PL and WA-27-PL. The GWA platform is situated approximately 138 km north-west of Dampier and 23 km south west of North Rankin Complex (NRC). GWA is an offshore production platform that produces dry gas and condensate. The revised EP will account for production from the Goodwyn, Perseus, Searipple, Goodwyn GH, Tidepole, Keast, Dockrell, Sculptor-Rankin, Lady Nora and Pemberton area reservoirs. Gas and condensate from these reservoirs is transported via a network of pipelines to the GWA Platform and then onshore to the Karratha Gas Plant for processing. |
