Project - Macedon Gas

Description of project

The Macedon Gas Project was commissioned in 2013 with an operating life of 20 years.
The Macedon gas field is situated within production licence WA-42-L located on the North West Shelf in Commonwealth waters ranging from 120 to 180 m depth, approximately 40 km northwest of Exmouth and 100 km west of Onslow.
The Macedon Gas Project involves offshore production of gas from the Macedon gas field via four subsea wells and associated subsea field infrastructure, with transport of the gas to the onshore Macedon Gas Plant via a subsea pipeline.
The field infrastructure is operated remotely from the Macedon Gas Plant via umbilical.
Inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) activities are undertaken on an ‘as required’ basis to ensure the ongoing integrity of infrastructure throughout the life of field IMR activities consist of vessel-based operations with remotely operated vehicles (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) activities.
