Production from the Talisman project, operated by Marathon Petroleum Australia and located approximately 120km north of Dampier, ended in 1992. During decommissioning all locatable items were recovered from the Talisman field, with the exception of some production equipment (comprising a flowline, umbilical line, anchor, some chain and a tyre weight) which has remained on the seabed since that time.
