Production from the Mutineer Exeter oil fields began in 2005, serviced by the Floating Production Storage and Offtake (FPSO) facility, Modec Venture 11 (MV-11), approximately 100km from Dampier. In 2013, the Fletcher and Finucane oil fields were tied back to the MV-11. Production ceased in 2018, with all wells shut-in and MV-11 permanently leaving the location in July of that year. The subsea infrastructure will remain in place ‘preserved’ during a ‘cessation of production’ phase that will continue until field decommissioning prior to final field decommissioning.
