Woodside has been progressively decommissioning the Echo Yodel field and has completed these activities:
• The Echo Yodel pipeline was cleaned to remove hydrocarbons, and the pipeline put into a state of preservation in 2015/2016. The well tie-in spools were also removed between the pipeline and the wells.
• Around 25 m of the subsea isolation valve (SSIV) tie-in spool was removed in 2018, disconnecting the pipeline from the Goodwyn Alpha (GWA) platform.
• The Echo Yodel gas wells (EY-3, EY-4) have been plugged and abandoned, Xmas trees removed, flying leads removed and wellhead severance performed during campaigns between 2021 to 2025.
• The Echo Yodel electrohydraulic umbilical was removed (up to the splitter box) in November 2025.

Under this EP, Woodside proposes to undertake the following decommissioning activities in the Echo Yodel field, referred to as the Petroleum Activity:
• Remove the 12-inch Echo Yodel pipeline between the SSIV structure (located at GWA platform) and the Yodel-3 and Yodel-4 wells, including associated ancillary equipment. The pipeline is stainless steel and coated with either polypropylene (main pipeline) or polyurethane (pipeline field joints).

Infrastructure downstream of the SSIV that remains in the area at the completion of this Petroleum Activity will continue to be managed under the Goodwyn Alpha Operations EP until future reuse or decommissioning plans are finalised.

The Petroleum Activity is in Commonwealth waters in the NWS Province, about 140 km north-west of Dampier on the coast of Western Australia. The closest landfall is the Montebello Islands, which are about 68 km south of the Operational Area. The Echo Yodel subsea infrastructure is in water about 130 m to 135 m deep in pipeline licence WA-9-PL. The Echo Yodel pipeline extends across petroleum titles WA-23-L, WA-6-L and WA-5-L. The Echo Yodel subsea infrastructure runs from the Yodel-3 and Yodel-4 wells to the GWA platform.

The Petroleum Activity is currently planned to begin between 1 November 2026 and 31 January 2027, subject to project schedule requirements, approvals, vessel availability, weather and unforeseen circumstances. The subsea infrastructure removal window is planned between Quarter (Q)4 2026 and Q3 2027 inclusive, but may continue into 2028.

Project vessels are expected to remain within the Operational Area for about six months, including mobilisation, demobilisation and contingency. The Petroleum Activity may be undertaken 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
