Description

Woodside Energy Julimar Pty Ltd (Woodside), is operator of the Julimar Field Production System, located in Commonwealth waters about 160 km north-west of Dampier and adjacent to the Chevron operated, Wheatstone Platform.

The Petroleum Activities Program is located in Commonwealth waters in the Carnarvon Sub-basin, within licence areas WA-49-L, WA-26-PL, WA-29-PL, WA-34-PL, WA-35-PL and WA-36-PL. The Operational Area is ~160 km north-west of Dampier and adjacent to the Wheatstone Platform. The closest landfall to the Petroleum Activities Program is the Montebello Islands, about 46 km south-east.

The Julimar Operations EP was accepted in March 2021 and under the Environment regulations is required to be updated every 5 years. However, this revision of the EP is required to include the operation of Julimar Development Phase 3 (JDP3) infrastructure prior to introduction of hydrocarbons to the system.

JDP3 consists of up to five development wells, three of which will be tied into spare slots in the existing JULA manifold and two tied into a new two slot manifold at JULB. Flexible flowlines will also be installed, with the new manifold at JULB connected to the existing in-line tee assembly within the JDP2 flowline (WA-29-PL).

Activities associated with the above operations in the scope of the EP are as follows:

• Routine production
• Routine inspection, monitoring, maintenance and repair (IMMR) of the subsea infrastructure
• Hot commissioning
- Note well unloading and clean-up will be to the Wheatstone Facility operated by Chevron.
• Non-routine and unplanned activities and incidents associated with the above
• Supporting activities (e.g. vessel operations).

Production from the Julimar-Brunello Development commenced in 2016 and operates 24 hours a day, year-round. JDP3 commissioning is planned for H1 2026. The Brunello and Julimar fields are predicted to remain active for the life of this EP.
