Esso has developed this EP in accordance with the applicable legislative requirements, to manage the environmental impacts and risks associated with jack-up rig (JUR) Turrum Phase 3 Drilling activities, to be completed by a JUR within the Petroleum Safety Zone (PSZ) at the Marlin B Platform in the Gippsland Basin.

The JUR Turrum Phase 3 Drilling Operational Area (OA) for the purposes of this EP lies within Production License VIC/L03 and is defined by the existing 500m PSZ around the Marlin facility, whilst the activity is taking place at that location. The activities included in the scope of this EP are JUR positioning, conductor installation, drilling, completion installations, support vessels activities, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) activities and use of helicopters.

The earliest date of commencement of JUR Turrum Phase 3 Drilling is expected to be in Q3 2025 when the JUR completes the previous activities. It is expected that the drilling, completion, and associated activities with up to five wells will take approximately 300 days (inclusive of JUR positioning activities), dependent on weather, scheduling and operations performance.
