Woodside is planning to undertake drilling, construction, installation and pre-commissioning activities in Production Licence WA-34-L in Commonwealth waters to support ongoing production for Pluto LNG, commencing in Q1 2020 pending approvals, vessel availability and weather constraints.
Two new and two infill production wells are proposed, as well as the installation of subsea structures, to compliment production from existing wells in the Pluto and Xena fields. If required Woodside will also need to intervene or workover existing Pluto and Xena production wells within existing Pluto and Xena production wells within Production License WA-34-L. The proposed activities are located in Production Licence WA-34-L, with the closest landfall being the Montebello Islands, approximately 50 km to the south east.
