INPEX Cash Maple Pty Ltd (INPEX), on behalf of the Cash Maple unincorporated joint venture participants, is developing the Cash Maple gas/condensate fields in the Bonaparte Basin off the northwest coast of Western Australia (WA). The Cash Maple development will require an export pipeline which will be directed on one of four possible routes depending on the development concept selected. The possible routes need to be surveyed early in the project maturation process to determine if any of them are technically unfeasible and to optimise the exact pipeline path on the preferred selected route. The scope of this environment plan (EP) includes: • vessel-based geophysical and geotechnical surveying of the seabed within retention lease AC/RL7 and along four possible export pipeline routes (routes A, B, C and D) to establish a preferred route • collection of marine baseline data to support future environmental approvals. The precise timing and duration of activities may be subject to change due to stakeholder consultation, acceptance of the EP, vessel availability, weather conditions and other operational factors. Therefore, to allow for some flexibility for contingency purposes this EP allows for the activities to occur anytime within the three calendar years 2026, 2027 and 2028. The proposed activities may be completed in a single campaign or over several multi-week campaigns and are expected to last for approximately 70 days with a maximum total of 120 days to allow for delays. Operations will be conducted 24 hours per day and are scheduled to commence no earlier than Q1 2026. Retention lease, AC/RL7, is located within the Bonaparte Basin within the Territory of Ashmore and Cartier Islands. AC/RL7 is approximately 320 km north-west of Kalumburu (WA). The operational area for the purposes of this EP is defined as the boundary of retention lease AC/RL7 and four proposed export pipeline routes (routes A, B, C and D). |
